My Personal Path to Reflexology
In 2003, before my best friend Michelle passed away I would visit her in the hospital and massage her legs gently as she couldn’t move much or exercise. I felt I was doing something to help her relax and forget about her illness, even for a short period of time. It was around that time I thought about studying holistic therapy, particularly Reflexology but of course, life got in the way.
In the following years life had many ups and downs. My mother received a terminal illness diagnosis, my youngest son was diagnosed with autism and my own scoliosis issues re-emerged after 30 years.
I eventually sought professional help, holistic help (reflexology, acupuncture & mindfulness) and help from family and friends, all of which helped me emotionally, mentally and physically recover.
After this period of turmoil I began to regain my confidence. I felt now was the time to do something for myself. I had always been drawn to Reflexology (& enjoyed receiving it) and so, with my husband’s encouragement, I made the decision to pursue this dream. It has been the best decision I have ever made. I’m so delighted that I can now use my own personal experience and Reflexology training to support my patients to become happier and healthier versions of themselves.
